EuregioKultur e.V. - Partner for cross-border cultural activities

EuregioKultur e.V. is a non-profit association that promotes cross-border cultural and literary exchange in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine, paying particular attention to children and young people. The aim is to build lasting networks and to develop and implement joint cultural and literary projects in collaboration with partners in the border areas of the Euregio.

The association was founded in November 2012 to continue the Euregio Pupils’ Literature Prize.

Since then, the association has continuously expanded its network. In addition to the Euregio Pupils’ Literature Prize, it runs, together with numerous partners in the region, the reading project “Die Euregio liest” (The Euregio Reads), among others, and takes part in other cultural and literary activities in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine.

In close collaboration with the EGTC Euregio Meuse-Rhine, the Huis voor de Kunsten Limburg, the Letterkundig Centrum Limburg and the “Literaturbüro in der Euregio Maas-Rhein e.V.”, the NXT TXT Awards project for young talent was also launched. It is aimed at young writers in the region and specifically strengthens the promotion of young literary talent in a cross-border context.

With the founding of EuregioCulture asbl in August 2020, the association also has a sister association on the Belgian side, which is responsible in particular for managing and supporting projects in Belgium.

The Euregio Meuse-Rhine regards its cooperation with EuregioKultur e.V. as an important contribution to the cultural network, to active civic participation and to lasting educational cooperation in our shared region.
