Business, innovation and the Einstein Telescope

The Euregio Meuse-Rhine is a dynamic business and innovation region at the heart of Europe. Its companies, universities and research institutes work at a level of international excellence. At the same time, national borders often hold back cooperation.

This is precisely where the EGTC Euregio Meuse-Rhine comes in: it connects partners across borders, supports joint initiatives and helps to strengthen existing cooperation over the long term. To do this, it works closely with the relevant institutions and organisations, not in their place, but alongside them.

Major future-oriented projects, such as the Einstein Telescope or the construction of AI gigafactories, are supported from the very beginning. The aim is to promote international cooperation and to position the region well in the face of European competition.

The labour market also plays an important role in this context. The Border Information Points (GIP in German) and the Cross-border Job Placement Services (SGA in German) support people who wish to work in the neighbouring country. Here, the EGTC above all plays a coordinating role and is committed to stable structures and fair framework conditions for cross-border commuters.
