Landscape and climate
The issues
Together for an open space without borders
Water, nitrogen and invasive species do not stop at borders. With climate change, the need for cross-border cooperation is therefore growing, for climate change adaptation, biodiversity and the sustainable development of our region.
The landscapes
Unique landscapes to protect
The Euregio Meuse-Rhine is characterised by unique landscapes such as the High Fens, the Bocageland and the Meuse valley. Protecting and developing them across borders is the shared goal of the landscape platform of the Three Countries Park (P3P).
Our role
The EGTC, secretariat of the Three Countries Park
The EGTC Euregio Meuse-Rhine is the secretariat and lead partner of the Three Countries Park and coordinates cooperation between the partner regions.
Our priorities
-
Networking and a platform for environmental and spatial planning stakeholders
-
Climate change adaptation in river basins (for example through projects such as SPONGE)
-
Cooperation with nature and landscape parks
-
Integration of geographical data for planning and working groups
-
Coordination of measures to combat invasive species
Other cross-border parks in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine
These parks are not partners of the Three Countries Park, but they are part of its network:
