What is STIPP?

At a glance

STIPP (SME Transition Innovation Partners Projects) is a project under the European Interreg Meuse-Rhine funding programme. The aim of the project is to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine in their transformation and their development in the field of innovation.

The Euregio Meuse-Rhine is a highly interconnected economic region in which companies from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands are closely linked. STIPP encourages cooperation between companies, research institutes and innovation organisations in order to develop new ideas and drive economic innovation in the region.

Business support

Under STIPP, small and medium-sized enterprises receive support for the development and implementation of innovative projects. To this end, the companies work with research and innovation partners from the Euregio.

In particular, the project offers:

  • Support for the development of new products, services or technologies

  • Access to expertise, research institutes and innovation networks

  • Promotion of cross-border cooperation between companies

  • Support for the implementation of innovation projects

Thanks to this cooperation, companies can develop new ideas more quickly and strengthen their competitiveness in the border region.

Cooperation in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine

STIPP brings together partners from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, thereby fostering cross-border cooperation on innovation in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine.

The project creates a platform on which companies, universities and innovation organisations work together to find solutions to economic and technological challenges.

Contribution to regional development

By encouraging innovation and cooperation, STIPP helps to strengthen the economic development of the Euregio Meuse-Rhine. At the same time, the project helps small and medium-sized enterprises to adapt to new technological, economic and social changes.

STIPP thus makes an important contribution to the development of the Euregio Meuse-Rhine as an innovative and competitive European border region that is preparing to host the Einstein Telescope.
