CROSUSMOB is a project under the European Interreg Europe programme which aims to improve sustainable mobility in border regions.
The aim of the project is to better connect existing mobility services across national borders and to further develop policy and planning instruments. It is precisely in border regions such as the Euregio Meuse-Rhine, where many people commute between countries every day, that efficient and sustainable mobility plays a central role.
Cooperation in European border regions
CROSUSMOB brings together partners from various European border regions. Together, they exchange experiences, strategies and good practice in order to improve cross-border mobility.
Priorities include:
-
Connecting public transport systems across borders
-
Improving access to workplaces and educational institutions
-
Promoting sustainable mobility solutions
-
Developing policy strategies and planning tools
Relationship with the Euregio Meuse-Rhine
The Euregio Meuse-Rhine is involved in the CROSUSMOB project as an associated partner. In this capacity, and through the Euregional Coordination Office within the Aachener Verkehrsverbund, it contributes its experience of cross-border cooperation in the tri-border region while benefiting from exchanges with other European regions.
Through the Euregional Coordination Office, the Euregio supports the dissemination of the project results and helps to ensure that the new knowledge gained is incorporated into the development of Euregional mobility.
Contribution to the development of the border region
CROSUSMOB makes an important contribution to the development of cross-border mobility in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine.
The project helps to reduce obstacles to commuting, promote sustainable solutions and further strengthen cooperation between the regions.
CROSUSMOB thus helps to make the Euregio Meuse-Rhine a well-connected, sustainable and forward-looking place to live and work.
